The Challenge
As a pioneer in the production of bumblebees since 1987, Biobest has become one of the world’s leading companies in natural pollination and biological control of pests and diseases. Working with 28 group companies in 6 continents, distributors in more than 65 countries and over 2.000 employees worldwide, Biobest needed an easy-to-use, scalable, flexible and integrable digital experience platform, while balancing central and local governance and meeting the expectations of itsdifferent target audiences.
The Solution
Boondoggle CX created an online DXP platform, which will contribute to a hassle-free customer interaction, putting Biobest in the market as the most reliable supplier and as the best team to work for.
The site proposes a user-intuitive presentation of crops, challenges and products, with an easy way to navigate from one topic to another – also on mobile devices. Customers from all markets can access relevant content in 5 languages and via Single Sign On continue their journey on connected platforms like the webshop and Biobest Academy. Job seekers and investors will also find specific pages waiting for them.
Boondoggle CX was responsible for learn & ideation, functional analysis, solution architecture, interaction design, content strategy, system integration (SAP) and development.
The result is a composable future-proof platform, developed on a technology stack including a Headless CMS (Directus), Algolia as search engine, React.js and Next.js for the front-end, Netlify and Cloudflare for the worldwide hosting performance; and PiwikPro for analytics and consent management. Data is synchronized from SAP Commerce (PIM/DAM/Webshop) to populate the webpages and other applications from one source of truth. Every content page is created with the right SEO tags to optimize Biobest’s visibility on search engines.
Next steps will be to implement further personalization and integration with other systems. New languages and local sites will be added gradually.
